Aircraft Wheels

Our commitment to manufacturing components “Right the First Time” and a robust quality management system ensures that NMG produced aircraft wheels perform on every landing and in every operating condition.

Unparalleled Precision in Wheel Manufacturing

Aircraft wheels and tires endure some of the most intense conditions of any landing gear component with temperatures as low as -40°F at maximum altitude and as high as 392°F during touchdown. NMG designs and manufactures two-piece aircraft wheels from high-grade magnesium and aluminum alloys – offering the durable construction necessary for handling these extreme applications.

We manufacture wheels from 6″ to 30″ in diameter with unparalleled precision and efficiency for high-volume production – this means that we deliver the parts you need, when you need them. Facilitating the “where needed” installation requirements, NMG provides line fit ready tire, wheel and bearing assemblies to our customers, and, where required, to our customer’s customers.

Types of Wheels

Main Wheels

Main wheels are manufactured for placement on either side of the plane fuselage and essential for safely managing a plane’s weight and impact during landing.

Nose wheels

Installed near the front of the plane, nose wheels facilitate directional control during takeoff and landing, as well as allow the aircraft to maneuver on the ground.

Tail Wheels

Tail wheels refer to the small wheel located at the rear of the aircraft to support the tail.

The NMG Quality Difference

The team at NMG understands the level of precision and detail that factors into aircraft wheel construction. That’s why we’ve built extensive processes and quality controls in order to create wheels that can withstand stress without fail. For over three decades, we have served as leading aircraft wheel manufacturers, and we are proud of the reputation we’ve built as a commerical, military, business and general aviation aircraft wheel supplier.
