What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a structured program for learning highly technical skills through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom education. Upon completion of the 4 year/8,000 hour apprentice program, you will receive a certificate of completion certifying your qualifications as highly skilled in your profession.

Classroom Instruction

You will attend classes at an accredited learning institution that are designed specifically to meet the needs of today’s machining and metalworking industry. Advanced placement assessments are available for those who have developed skills through prior education and work experiences. Coursework includes but is not limited to:

Eligibility Requirements

Interested candidates must demonstrate:

  • U.S. Citizenship or legal permission to be employed in the United States
  • 18 years of age at time of hire
  • High school diploma or equivalent
